Our Wedding

Melanie Andersen
and
Mishkin Berteig
were married
at the
Toronto Baha'i Centre
on June 29, 1997

After getting dressed, Mishkin and I ate a
relaxing lunch together in the shade of a tree
at the Baha'i Temple Site where we had originally wanted to exchange vows. We put on our wedding rings here while spending some relaxed alone time before the wedding. My cousin Jonathan then joined us here to take some photos.

We then went to the Baha'i Centre to meet our guests, exchange our vows and start the festivities.

This is a photo of one of the many bowls I made as centrepieces for our wedding. They were filled with water, floating candles and white roses.

The back of each bowl was engraved with:
"MELANIE AND MISHKIN'S
WEDDING
1997"
People were welcome to take the bowls home as souvenirs.
