Baltimore,
Maryland
January - March 2006
Mishkin only worked in Baltimore for a 3 month contract.
Two months before we took this contract, we had made an agreement that we would travel together as a family while Mishkin tried to re-establish himself with work in the Toronto area. He had a deadline of March 21, 2006 to stop travelling for work so we could all be together at home near Toronto. This contract was scheduled to end in April which we decided would be close enough to the deadline, but oddly enough it abbruptly ended on March 20th making it possible for us to meet our goal. We brought
very little with us and had the most wonderful time.
We were free from the clutter and time-consuming
maintenance of our material possessions. We led a
simple yet very happy family-centered life.
This townhouse was part of a complex that had
a clubhouse which included free fresh baked cookies
and a cappucino maker and other drinks, there was a
movie theater with popcorn machine, library and gym.
We also lived very close to the most amazing grocery
store - Wegman's. It's so big, the first time I went there
I couldn't find the meat department. It's about as big as
a Walmart but just groceries.

The front of our townhouse (on the far right).

The back of our townhouse.

The living room.

The living room while Garry and Anna were visiting.
All the furniture was rented.
We also had a cleaning service.

The living room fireplace.
Look the rented furniture even included fake plants!

The dining room with a bookcase for all
our homechooling materials and arts and crafts.

The dining room was very sunny and enjoyable.

The kitchen. There's laundry and a window to my right.
And on this side of the kitchen is the sink
and a breakfast bar overlooking the dining room.
To the left, it overlooks the livingroom.
There were two bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms.
There is a powder room between the living room and
dining room. There is an office in the basement
where we had a computer and a desk.
