Verity in the bath. 2 1/2 months old. She's looking a lot more alert.
Guess who's who? Justice on the left and Verity on the right.
What a cute baby! Can you blame us for having three?
Verity in a kimono outfit from Grampa Garry.
Verity's famous crawl. She steps with her right foot and crawls
Look at that face. Look at those eyes. She looks a lot like
Verity eating sound cylinders.
.What are gifts good for? Eating! Yum! Thanks for the tasty pink thing.
Verity in her crib in our room. 7 months old.
I love catching funny expressions like this one. It makes the picture
more interesting.
I was trying to take a picture of Verity in this cute pink dress
Ah! A plant within arms reach!
Quick! Take the picture!
Notice the pointed finger, ready to poke in the dirt.
Verity's famous one-legged crawl.
The past year has been blissful joy getting to know who Verity is. When I was pregnant, I had a sense of her being gentle and happy and feminine. She is those things. She also has a fabulous sense of humour and loves to make people laugh. She is almost always happy and smiling. She is very easy to take care of. She is extremely intelligent. Two days after she was born, I was training her to nurse properly, I would say to her, “big mouth, use a big mouth” (in her feminine way, she always wanted to suck with small puckered lips). By the third day, when I said, “big mouth”, she would open her mouth nice and wide. She scoots with one hand instead of crawl, like Justice did as a baby. She was standing and furniture surfing at around 8 months and we thought she would be walking well before her first birthday. She has taken as many as five steps but she still prefers to scoot. Her first tooth poked through her gums on the day of her first birthday. Our normally happy, content baby was a little fussy that day because of it.
