of Justice Berteig
Three
Years Old
2001-2002
One week before Justice turned 3, he started
to do homeschooling regularly with Mom. We started by doing one
workpage a day from a Preschool workbook and ended the year doing
a Grade 1 Classical Education curriculum. Justice learned how to
read and write this year! During this year, Justice went from needing
help to build simple Lego sets to building complex spaceships from
memory. Justice matured a lot during this year. He also became
much more independent. He learned to fold his own laundry and put
it away. He learned to put toothpaste on his toothbrush. |

What a sweet angel-boy!

I spoke too soon. This is not the face of an angel!
There's my Calvin (of Calvin and Hobbes).

Fireman Justice (mom made the hat).
I think he has a good fireman expression in this picture.

This is a wonderful drawing Justice made

Justice has
never seen "Saturday Night Live"
but he's got the moves down.

Justice has been folding his own laundry for about a
year now.
He does an excellent job, very neat. He can also put them into his dresser.

The first time Justice has ever gone bowling.
Isn't the ball bigger than his head?
May 4, 2002.

The Wind-up: "Don't
put it too far back, or you'll land on your head."
He wants to give the ball his best push.

The Release: There it goes... at 4 miles per hour.
(I'm not kidding...it was clocked.)
Twice the ball went so slow it eventually came to a halt
in the middle of the lane.

Is it going to make it?.... YES!

Fingerpainting... literally.
Isn't he beautiful.
